TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn tennis will send three players to the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga. beginning Thursday and running through Sunday with one round of competition played each day.  

From the women's side, the regional singles champion Renske Ubachs will play in singles as well as doubles where she is joined by Daniela Tijaro. The All-American duo from a year ago received an at-large bid to the tournament.  

The men will be represented by Pavlos Parson. He won the ITA Central Region Singles Championship in Topeka to guarantee a spot in the cup.  

Ubachs and Tijaro will face off against Emilia Gyorgy and Camila Garcia Morales of Midwestern State at 4 p.m. EST on Thursday. With a win they will play on Friday at 4:30 p.m. EST.  

Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro have gone 6-1 together as a duo this season, with the one loss coming the last time out.  

On the singles side, Ubachs takes on Alyssa Novoa of Rollins College at 11:30 a.m. EST on Thursday morning. She would play at 11 a.m. EST on Friday morning with a victory.  

For the year Renske Ubachs has gone a perfect 11-0 in singles competition.  

On the men's side, Pavlos Parson begins his tournament against Lukas Janousek of Cameron at 11:30 a.m. EST on Thursday. With a win he would play at 11 a.m. EST on Friday morning.  

After winning six straight matches in regionals play, Parson is 10-2 on the year in singles riding a seven-match winning streak.
