TOPEKA, KAN. - The No. 16 Washburn Soccer Team hosts rival Emporia State at Yager Stadium on Sunday afternoon in the 1st round of the MIAA Tournament Championship.
No. 16 Washburn (11-2-5, MIAA 8-0-4) extended its unbeaten streak to 14 with a 2-0 win after they tied 0-0 on Senior night.
The Ichabods took 2nd in the MIAA after securing 28 points in the league.
Washburn only allowed three goals in the MIAA regular season and only 3 goals during their unbeaten run.

Lili Everley has 9 shutouts on the year, which is tied for 13th in the nation.
ABOUT EMPORIA STATE
The Hornets finished the regular season 8-5-5 and 5-2-5 in MIAA play. Emporia State comes into Sunday's match after having scoreless draws in their last 3 games. Emporia State is led in goals by Freshman Ella Favot with 6 goals. Goalkeeper Mackenzi Goen made 7 saves against the Ichabods on Wednesday.
