KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn sophomore forward
Dillon Claussen has been name the MIAA Athlete of the Week after his performance in Washburn's double overtime win over Central Missouri on Dec. 13.
Claussen scored a game-high-tying 21 points adding seven rebounds, four assists and a career-high-tying four blocks in the 78-72 win over the Mules. Claussen was 7 of 14 from the field and scored six points playing all 10 minutes in both overtimes.
The No. 2-ranked Washburn Ichabods will play their final two non-conference games of the season with a pair of top-10 ranked opponents starting with No. 4 Lubbock Christian on Tuesday at 11 a.m. followed by No. 8 West Texas A&M on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the River City Classic in San Antonio, Texas. The Ichabods returns to MIAA play hosting Emporia State on Jan. 3 opening the 2026 calendar.
