INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's track and field team opened the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships recording three All-American awards. Day two of the national meet continues Friday.
Isabel Demarco de Quadros was fifth in the pole vault clearing a mark of 4.27m (14-00.00) earning four team points for the Ichabods. Also competing from Washburn was
Reagan Housley who tied for 13th overall at 3.92m (12-10.25).
Earning her third all-American award at Washburn was
Naiuri Krein, who earned second-team honors after finishing 11th in the heptathlon. Krein finished with 3,714 points after recording her best finish of the day in the shot put placing fourth overall. It was her second All-American award in the indoor season.
Competing in the heptathlon,
Chaney Martin is 16th after the first four events. He had his best performance in the 60m in a time of 7.26. The 60m hurdles, pole vault and the final event of the 1000m will take place on Friday.
Ta'Mijha Nichols finished 16th in the 60m with a time of 7.52 in the prelims and on the men's side of the same event,
Tre Richardson just missed out on qualifying for the finals by 0.01 with his time of 6.69 to finish ninth earning second team all-American honors.
Ezekiel Seamster placed 15th in the first round with a time of 6.77. Seamster will compete in the 200m opening round on Friday.
