TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod men's track and field team was busy at several different meets into the late hours on Wednesday night in California as well as the Kansas Relays on Thursday. The Ichabods will continue their weekend of action on Friday at the Kansas Relays as well as several meets in California.
At the Pacific Coast Invitational,
Matteo Madrassi was the top-finishing NCAA Division II competitor taking seventh in the pole vault with an NCAA provisional mark of 4.98m (16-04.00).
Running at nearly midnight on Wednesday in California,
Donald Kibet took 18th place at the Bryan Clay Invitational in the 10,000m in a time of 29:42.03 for an NCAA provisional mark.
On Thursday at the Kansas Relays, Washburn's highest finisher was
Alex Adams, finishing fourth in the 800m in a time of 1:56.41 for a new personal best.
