KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's basketball team will open the 2025-26 season making its first appearance in the seven-year history of the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Nov. 1-2 in Lakeland, Fla. The Ichabods are coming off a record-breaking season after going 30-4 with a trip to the NCAA National Semifinals.
Washburn will open the two-game classic facing Augusta at 1:15 p.m. followed by Dallas Baptist the following day at 1:15 p.m.
Dallas Baptist also reached the 2025 NCAA National Semifinals with a 34-5 record before falling to Cal State Dominguez Hills in Evansville, Ind. Augusta went 19-11 last season and lost in the opening round of the NCAA Southeast Regional to Lenoir-Rhyne, who the Ichabods topped in the opening game of the Elite Eight in 2025.
Augusta is making their first appearance in the event and Dallas Baptist is making its second SCB Hall of Fame Classic appearance with the other one coming in 2022.
