WICHITA, KAN. - The Washburn Soccer team gets its first MIAA win of the season with a 1-0 over Newman.
"Today was a tough game in a challenging environment. The team was unlucky not to add one or two more, as we hit the post a few times and their keeper made a couple of really good saves. The girls, again, grew into the game pretty well and played a pretty good second half," said Head Coach
Davy Phillips. "It was a great goal by Leah and an important three points for us. We're finding ways to get results, which is an important quality in successful teams."
The Ichabods score midway through the second half to earn their first win of MIAA Conference play.
