KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn men's tennis has earned the MIAA/GAC North Division Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week presented by ClassicCourt for a second time this season as Zino Nahirniak earns the honor presented by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.  

Zino Nahirniak is tabbed as the Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after going 2-0 last week against top competition in Florida. Playing at No. 4 singles in all three matches he went 2-0 including winning the only point of the match for Washburn against No. 5 Flagler. He led in the third set of his third dual that was left unfinished. In his one doubles appearance he and Benjamin Fock were tied 4-4 at No. 1 when the point was decided.  

The Ichabods return to the court on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. taking on Southeastern Oklahoma State in Edmond, Okla.
