TEMPE, Ariz. -- Both Ichabod tennis programs remain inside the top-10 of the latest ITA rankings with the men leaping up the No. 5 while the women move to No. 10. The Ichabods are in action on Thursday taking on Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Ark.
After winning three straight matches last week the Ichabod men move up to No. 5 in the rankings, back where they began in the pre-season. West Florida Holds the top spot followed by Barry, Flagler and UT Tyler rounding out the top-five.
Four players are ranked in singles led by Pavlos Parson at No. 26 overall. Tommy Cecchetti is one spot behind him at No. 27 while Kilian Martinez sits at No. 43. Yuto Miyagawa rises up to No. 46 in the latest rankings.
In the doubles rankings Zino Nahirniak and Benjamin Fock enter the rankings for the first time ranked No. 31 in the nation.
The Washburn women fall five spots after going 2-0 last week to land at No. 10 on this week's rankings. Barry sits in the top spot followed by West Florida and Nova Southeastern. West Alabama and Embry-Riddle complete the top-five.
Three players are ranked in singles led by Renske Ubach's No. 14 ranking. Riko Konno is slotted at No. 47 while Jasel Bailey moves to No. 68 in the nation.
On the doubles side Renske Ubachs and Daniela Tijaro are ranked No. 12 in the nation together while Saajida Razick and Riko Konno are No. 47 in the nation.
