KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For a second straight week Zino Nahirniak has been named the MIAA/GAC North Division Athlete of the Week presented by ClassicCourt. It is the third weekly honor on the men's side for the Ichabods this season.  

Nahirniak earns the second straight honor after going 4-1 overall last week with a 2-1 record in doubles at No. 1 and 2-0 in singles playing on court three, helping Washburn to a 3-0 record including two ranked wins. He and Benjamin Fock defeated No. 3 nationally ranked Cian Mikkelsen and Adrian Solorzano of Harding helping clinch the doubles point.  

In singles play he won in two sets over Mattia Ghedin of Lubbock Christian helping the Ichabods win 4-3 over the No. 6 Chaps.  

Washburn is back in action facing No. 29 Ouachita Baptist at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 19 in Arkadelphia, Ark.
