KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the second time in three weeks Pavlos Parson has been named the MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week presented by ClassicCourt. He earns the honor for the second time this season and it's the sixth time the Ichabods have won this spring.  

Pavlos Parson went 2-0 in Washburn's only match of the week, a 7-0 sweep of the Lions on the road to cap off a second straight undefeated MIAA/GAC regular season across both divisions. Parson and Tommy Cecchetti defeated No. 43 Eduardo Bribiesca and Birk Arwedahl 6-2 at No. 1 doubles to begin the match. In singles Parson, No. 42 ranked in the nation, won in three sets over Bribiesca on the top court (7-6(3), 3-6 and 10-4). It helped secure a tenth straight victory for the Ichabods to end the regular season. 

No. 13 Washburn returns to action in the MIAA/GAC Tournament in the quarterfinal round facing Northeastern State on Wednesday, April 29 in Springfield, Mo. beginning at 9 a.m.
