TOPEKA, Kan. -- The 2026 Washburn Ichabod football media guide is now online. The Ichabods will open the 2026 season under second-year head coach Zach Watkins on Aug. 29 at former MIAA foe Truman State in Kirksville, Mo. The Washburn Ichabods were tabbed No. 8 in both the MIAA preseason coaches and preseason media polls that were released earlier by the league office at the annual MIAA Football Media Day hosted by Washburn inside the Sneed Indoor Athletic Facility. Washburn's home opener will be on Sept. 5 when they will host the Colorado School of Mines at noon in Yager Stadium.

The Ichabods went 3-8 during the 2025 season and 2-7 in MIAA contests. Four of the Ichabods' eight losses were under seven points.

The 228-page publication has player profiles, recaps and information on the current Ichabods as well as the history of the program. All information is up-to-date as of Aug. 11, the date of final edits to the media guide.
