ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Washburn women's soccer defeated Ouachita Baptist 2-0 in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon.
FIRST HALF
Haley Thomsen scored her first career goal in the 37
th minute to break the scoreless tie in the first half. Kaylee McKinley nearly tied the match in the 41
st minute, but Lily Everley was there for the save. Washburn outshot OBU 14-2 in the first half, including 5-1 on goal.
SECOND HALF
Leah Henke doubled the Ichabod lead shortly after intermission, scoring in the 49
th minute. Washburn held onto the 2-0 lead the remainder of the match, as OBU notched five shots on goal, but was unable to find the back of the net.
