LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Washburn volleyball climbed two spots in the AVCA poll once again, moving to No. 4 in the nation in the latest poll released by the organization on Monday afternoon.  

The Ichabods piled up another 4-0 week at the Sioux Falls Classic with three sweeps on the week to improve to 8-0 on the season. Washburn received 1,005 total points in the poll. Ferris State moved into the top spot in the nation with 36 first-place votes. Tampa sits at No. 2 with five first-place nods followed by Wayne State at No. 3 with three votes at the top spot. Concordia-St. Paul and Fresno Pacific sit at a tie for No. 5 with the Golden Bears receiving the final two first-place votes.  

Around the conference Nebraska Kearney moves up to No. 7 while Missouri Western also moves up one spot, to No. 10 in the country. Central Oklahoma falls to No. 22 in the nation while Emporia State enters into the final spot at No. 25. Central Missouri is receiving votes in the poll.  

Washburn is back at home for another tournament inside of Lee Arena. They begin the Ichabod Classic facing Missouri-St. Louis at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11.
