Caysie Beetley scored the match-winning goal against Fort Hays State giving the Lady Blues their first win of the season in a 2-0 win over the Tigers. She led the Lady Blues with four shots overall. The match-winning goal snapped a 0-0 tie with just under 12 minutes to play in the match. Washburn added another goal seven minutes later to take the 2-0 win.
