The Lady Blues had three players reach double figures in kills as they defeated Missouri Western, 30-20, 30-16, 30-20 to improve to 29-1 overall and remain perfect in the MIAA at 10-0. No. 5 Washburn will play a non-conference match Tuesday against Rockhurst at 7 p.m. in Lee Arena.
Anna Simpson-Mills led the Lady Blues with a career-high 14 kills and she hit .357 with four blocks.
Monica Miesner had a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs and she hit .500 during the match.
Tessa Jones also reached double digits with 13 kills.
Kate Hampson led the offense with 41 assists and
Erica Cowhick led the back row with 15 digs while Jones added nine. Jones and
Stephanie Nitz each had five assisted blocks to lead the team.
Washburn won its 25th straight match and has swept its last eight opponents to win 27 straight games.
