WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The No. 17 Washburn Lady Blues recorded a school-record 34 shots in a 3-0 win over Southwestern Oklahoma picking up a 3-0 win improving to 1-2-1 on the season. The Lady Blues will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 2 against West Texas A&M, who received votes in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association National Poll.
After a scoreless first half in which the Lady Blues outshot the Bulldogs 15 to 5, Washburn recorded the first goal of the match 1:50 into the half as Keely Lambeth scored her first goal of the season on an assist from
Jessica Mainz 15-yards out.
In the 47th minute of the match, Mainz scored a goal for the second straight match in the 61st minute on a direct kick from 30 yards out.
Washburn added their third and final goal in the 88th minute as
Traci Nigg scored her first goal of the season off an assist from
Angela Wiseman.

Ashley Klone picked up her first shutout in net for the Lady Blues as she recorded four saves.
For the match, Washburn outshot the Bulldogs 34-10 setting the new school record. The previous high was 30, which the Lady Blues recorded against Wayne State on Sept. 3, 2006.
