It was the first of two goals on the night for Reuck who would score the game-winner in the 31st minute on an assist from Isabel Gaeta. The two Reuck goals sandwiched

Last time out for TSU: October 25, 2008 -- Oct. 25, 2008 - A brisk wind and stingy defensive efforts kept the scoring low, but the Truman women's soccer team triumphed again at home thanks to a first-half goal by freshman Megan Buri, winning 1-0 over Missouri Southern.
After the Lions stripped the ball from Jessica Wiegert, Buri took the ball on the left side of the defense in the 17th minute, dribbled past the back line and fired a shot past freshman keeper Randi Russell for her second goal of the season. Both teams had multiple attempts to score after that, and Missouri Southern's top scorer, Nikki Llewellyn, took six shots on the afternoon, but the one goal margin stood up heading into halftime.
To start the second period of action, Truman switched up keepers, with freshman netminder Jayne Grisham replacing Denise Childress for the last 45 minutes. Grisham was virtually untested in the second half until the very end, when a foul near the box gave Llewellyn a short-range free kick. She launched a hard, low ball that Grisham turned away, preserving the win with less than 30 seconds remaining. Overall, the Bulldogs outshot the Lions 23 to 16, including a 15 to 8 margin in the first half, and Jessica Wiegert took five shots to lead the team.
Thanks to the win, the Bulldogs stand at 13-3-1 overall and 9-3-1 in the MIAA, while Missouri Southern fell to 4-10-1 (2-9-1 MIAA) on the year. On Thursday, the Bulldogs will look to make it five wins in a row at home, taking on Washburn at 2:00 p.m., before the definitive game of the regular season next Saturday when Central Missouri rolls into Kirksville. That game could decide the MIAA champion this season, after the two teams shared top honors last year. Kickoff for Saturday's game is scheduled for noon at the Truman Soccer Park.
