Brad Johnston picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win over Nahom Serekeberhan. Johnston teamed with Nathan Martin at No. 2 doubles to win their match 8-5.
Washburn's other point came at No. 1 doubles where Rutger Vliegenberg and Andrew Plum topped Stafan Bord and Nikola Prpic 9-8 taking the tie-breaker 7-4.
