DENVER, Colo. - Jessica Mainz scored her first goal of the season and Ashley Klone picked up the shutout victory in a 1-0 win over Regis. With the win, Washburn improves to 2-1-1 on the season and will take on No. 9 ranked Central Oklahoma on Wednedsay at 6 p.m. in Wichita, Kan., at Newman University.

Mainz's first half goal was her 42nd of her career giving her 99 points at Washburn. It came off an assist in the 33rd minute off a corner kick from Danielle Ayala.

Klone, who recorded 15 saves in a double overtime tie with Metro State yesterday, recorded seven saves in the shutout win. All seven of her saves against Regis came in the second half. It was her sixth shutout of her career and the first this season. She lowered her goal against avergage this season to 0.62.

 Regis outshot the Lady Blues 11 to 9 in the match and held a 9 to 2 advantage in the second half.
