Washburn took an eight-point lead in the second half after a tied halftime score but the Ichabods couldn't hold on as they fell, 73-64 to Central Missouri Saturday at Lee Arena.
Washburn (8-5, 4-2 MIAA) will finish its three-game home stand with a game against No. 3 Southwest Baptist (12-0, 5-0 MIAA) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Washburn shot 40 percent in the game and UCM (10-2, 3-2 MIAA) shot 42 percent. WU was out-rebounded 42-38.
Each team shot 16 free throws and UCM made 12 and WU made 10. The Ichabods were 6 of 19 from 3-point range while UCM was 5 of 18.
After a 32-32 score at halftime the Ichabods built an eight-point lead in the first eight minutes of the half. The Mules erased that lead with a 13-2 run that made the score 52-49, UCM.
Washburn led briefly after that and kept the game close until the Mules made 9 of 9 shots from the free throw line in the final 54 seconds to pull away.
Scott led WU with four assists and two steals and Eggins had two of WU's six blocks.
Joe Young led the Mules with 24 points off the bench and he made seven of UCM's final nine free throws.
Notes
• This was the 83rd meeting in school history and UCM now leads the series 42-41.
• Washburn is 16-6 against UCM in Lee Arena and 19-14 in MIAA games.
