OMAHA, Neb. -- The Washburn Lady Blues suffered their second straight shutout loss in a 1-0 defeat at Nebraska-Omaha at the UNO Soccer Field. Washburn (6-6-0, 3-5-0) will be back in action on Thursday when they will take on Emporia State in the first soccer battle of the Turnpike Tussle in Yager Stadium.

The Mavericks scored the only goal of the match when Jerica Kuncl scored in the 19th minute on an assist by Jessica Powers. Overall, the Mavericks outshot the Lady Blues 20 to 3 including an 11 to 1 advantage in the first half.

Washburn had two shots on goal - one by Brandy Hirsch and the other by Lindsey Lambert. Ashley Klone had five saves in net for Washburn.
