It's a long story … with a win over the Hornets on Saturday, the Ichabods are still in the running for an NCAA playoff berth as they are in ninth in the latest regional rankings. There are three games in the final week between teams who are both ranked in the regional rankings. Should the Ichabods top the Hornets and not be selected for the NCAA playoffs, the Ichabods would still be in the running for postseason bowl play either in the Mineral Water Bowl in Excelsior Springs, Mo., or the Kanza Bowl which would be played in Topeka with both games being scheduled for Dec. 5. The Ichabods played in the 2004 Mineral Water Bowl defeating Northern State 36-33.
