SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Washburn Lady Blues dropped two games on the second day of the St. Mary's Classic falling 5-2 to Abilene Christian and 8-2 to Tarleton State. Washburn will play their final game of the classic on Saturday when they will take on Southeastern Oklahoma State at 9 a.m.

Tish Williams led off the game with a walk and then scored on a single to left by
Dani White. Williams scored in the third inning after walking as
Ashley Podschun hit a double chasing Williams home. The Lady Blues had three fielding errors in the game leading as
Samantha Farris took the loss in the circle for Washburn.
Game 2 - Tarleton State 8, Washburn 2 | Box Score
Washburn tied the score at two entering the bottom of the fourth inning, but Tarleton State scored four unearned runs in the fourth inning and added two more in the sixth leading to the 8-2 win. Washburn finished with four errors in the game. Podschun had two of the four hits for the Lady Blues while driving in both runs with a 2-RBI double in the fourth inning.
