KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues soccer team had their two match winning streak snapped in a 2-0 loss to Truman on Saturday. Washburn will be back in action in its final home match of the season on Thursday, Nov. 4 in Yager Stadium where six seniors will be honored in pregame festivities.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the 32nd minute on an unassisted goal by Megan Buri on her fifth goal of the season. In the second half Truman added another goal on Suzanne Pelley score in the 75th minute on her second goal of the year.
Truman outshot the Lady Blues 15 to 8 in the match and 6 to 1 in the second half when the Lady Blues were going into a strong wind.
Tia Stovall had two shots on goal and
Markie Gallagher had one. Overall Stovall had three shots.
Ashley Klone had five saves in the match.
