ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association has named
Dayna Rodriguez as one of five finalists from the South Central Regional to be considered for the ten-member State Farm All-American Team. She was also named to the Daktronics/SID All-South Central Region First team which was released today.
Rodriguez was named to the MIAA all-Tournament team after helping the Lady Blues to their sixth tourney title in the last eight years in Kansas City this past weekend.
Washburn will take on Central Missouri on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Canyon, Texas in the first round of NCAA regional quarterfinals.
Rodriguez was named first team all-MIAA after leading Washburn in scoring this season with an 15.0 ppg average. She is joined on the WBCA team team by Emporia State's Cassondra Boston, Jamie Meyer of Abilene Christian and Jamie Simmons and Joni Unruh of West Texas A&M.
