ATLANTA, Ga. -- Washburn's Dayna Rodriguez was named to the Honorable Mention All-America team which was sponsored by State Farm Insurance. It is the fourth straight season a Lady Blue has been named to the squad following Brooke Ubelaker in 2007, Corkey Stiger in 2008 and Janice Bright last season.

This past season, Rodriguez led the MIAA champion Lady Blues in scoring with a 15.1 ppg average. She was a first team all-MIAA selection and earned MIAA all-tournament team honors after helping the Lady Blues capture the MIAA tournament title.

The Lady Blues finished the season 27-4 and captured their sixth MIAA title in the last eight years while winning their sixth MIAA postseason tournament championship in the last eight seasons. The Lady Blues reached their ninth straight NCAA tournament this past season.
