The Washburn Lady Blues basketball team was ranked 10th in the final WBCA Top 25 Coaches poll of the season. Washburn has been receiving votes in 134 consecutive polls and have been ranked in the top 25 in 118 consecutive polls, the longest current streak in NCAA-II. The Lady Blues were 27-4 this past season. They won their sixth MIAA regular season title under
Ron McHenry and their sixth MIAA tournament championship in the last eight seasons. Washburn qualified for its ninth straight NCAA tournament.
