AUSTIN, Texas -- The Washburn Lady Blues wrapped up a tough Texas road trip with their second 4-0 loss falling to No. 6 St. Edward's Sunday afternoon. Washburn returns to action on Tuesday at Rockhurst.
Washburn trailed 1-0 at the half after St. Edward's Mikayla Engel scored in the ninth minute for the first goal of the match. Washburn held the Hilltoppers in check until the 55th minute when Rachel Murray scored her second goal of the season on a break away pass. SEU's Kelly Servage scored an unassisted goal in the 64th minute and Caily Trapani scored the final goal of the match in the 73rd minute.
Washburn was out shot 15 to 5 in the match by the Hilltoppers and SEU also held a 9 to 1 advantage in corner kicks.
Jenna Lack (0-1-0) recorded three saves in her first collegiate action allowing the four goals.
