WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Leah Talley knocked in a goal early in the second half to tie Texas Woman's but neither team scored after that in a 1-1 tie Thursday night in the Central Missouri Jennies Classic. Washburn (0-3-1) will continue action at UCM Saturday against Dallas Baptist at noon.

The Pioneers (0-0-2) scored in the 14th minute when Meridith Molge scored unassisted off WU keeper Tori Fuglister. Washburn was out shot 5-1 that half but managed to keep TWU off the board the rest of the way.

The Lady Blues answered with their first goal of the year at 49:11 when Talley took a cross from Megan Buckley and headed it in past Beatrice Soto.

Washburn led in shots in the second half, 9-7 and Texas Woman's held a 3-2 advantage in the two overtime periods. Fuglister made four saves for Washburn in 82 minutes of play and Jenna Lack made two saves the rest of the way.

Talley led WU with four shots and Caysie Beetley had three, all on goal. Talley had a chance to win the game for the Lady Blues with a shot with 14 seconds remaining in the game but Soto stopped it and the clock ran out as Washburn attempted a corner kick.
