 Opening Tip
• The Washburn Ichabods will wrap up their five-game homestand and finish off the non-conference slate as they will host Tabor on Tuesday night on Schendel Court at Lee Arena starting a 7:30 p.m.
• Washburn is 6-0 this season after topping Newman 93-74 on Saturday last time out.
• Tabor is 4-2 this season after defeating Johnson and Wales 87-72 last time out on Nov. 23. 
• Tabor lost an exhibition game to MIAA foe Central Missouri 87-51 on Nov. 13.
• Tuesday's game with Tabor will count in the standings for both teams.
• Washburn received votes in the first regular season poll of the season released on Nov. 19. The new poll will come out on Nov. 26.

• The Ichabods have won their last 27 regular season non-conference home games.
• Washburn's last regular season loss in Lee Arena in non-conference action was against Central Oklahoma 83-67 on Nov. 29, 2005.

 Last Time Out For The Ichabods
Washburn 97, Newman 74 • Nov. 23, 2013
TOPEKA, Kan. -- Kyle Wiggins scored a career-high 30 points leading the Washburn Ichabods to a 93-74 win over Newman Saturday afternoon on Schendel Court at Lee Arena. 
The Ichabods (6-0) used a couple of runs in the first half to break the game open while taking a 52-40 lead into the break over Newman (2-3). Washburn used a 10-2 run in the first two minutes of the game breaking a 7-7 tie and later in the half put together an 18-6 run stretching a 28-24 lead into a 43-30 margin as Wiggins scored nine points during the run. Washburn led by as many as 14 in the first half at 52-38 as they shot 52 percent from the field hitting 17 of 33 shots while going 8 of 15 from 3-point range.
Washburn led by as many as 25 in the second half as the Ichabods continued the hot shooting hitting 60 percent of their shots going 15 of 25 in the frame overall finishing the game at 55 percent shooting tossing in a season-high 11 3-pointers.
Wiggins' 30 point effort topped his 21-point high against Missouri Southern scored last season on Jan. 31, 2013. He led three others in double figures for the ichabods as Jeff Reid scored 14 and Stephon Drane and Korey Fisher each scored 10. Alex North had a career-high 14 rebounds adding nine points and seven assists.
Ryan McCarthy and Perryone Smith each had 14 to lead five Jets in double figures.
The Ichabods dominated on the glass outrebounding the Jets 43 to 25 turning 12 offensive rebounds into 15 second chance points.

 About Tabor
• Tabor is 4-2 this season.
• The Bluejays are averaging 83.5 points per game and giving up 81.7 per contest. 
• They shoot 42 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.
• Opponents are shooting 45 percent from the floor and 39 percent from beyond the arc. 
• The Bluejays are also being out-rebounded by the opposition, 41.2 to 40.8 in six games.
• Dewayne Biggs leads the team in scoring at 15.5 points per game. Brent Jackson is scoring 15.2 points per outing and Lance Carter is adding 10.3 per contest.

• Tuesday's meeting with the Bluejays is the 13th all-time. 
• Washburn leads the series 10-2.
• The teams have only played twice since the 1996 season with the Bluejays winning a home game on Dec. 7, 1996 in a 94-88 win.

 Last Meeting With Tabor
Nov. 17, 2004 -- TOPEKA, Kan. -- The No. 5 ranked Washburn Ichabods jumped to an 18-point lead in the first half and never looked back as they defeated Tabor College 89-70. Travis Robbins again recorded a double double with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Karlton Mims added 20. 
The Ichabods jumped out to a 9-0 lead 1:44 in to the game and the Blue Jays would cut the lead back to five a 9-5, but it was all Ichabods the rest of the first half as they would lead 46-34 at the break as Washburn outscored the Blue Jays 28 to 16 in the paint. Robbins scored 14 points in the half on 7-of-9 shooting as well as grabbing eight rebounds.
In the second half, the Ichabods shot 47 percent from the field as they built their lead to as many as 25.
Joining Robbins and Mims in double figures was Harold Cade who hit 4-of-6 shots leading to 11 points off the bench.
The Ichabods dominated the Blue Jays on the glass outrebounding Tabor 57 to 35, including 17 offensive rebounds leading to 21 second chance points. Washburn also held the edge in points in the paint, 54 to 35.

 Ichabods in the national rankings
The Ichabods received votes in the first regular season NABC Top 25 coaches poll which was released on Nov. 19. The Ichabods have been in the top 25 a total of 98 times since joining the NCAA ranks and they have been voted in the top 10 a total of 51 times since the 1989-90 season.

• The Ichabods are 1456-975-4 (.591) all-time in the 109th year in the program's history.
• Washburn is the eighth-winningest program in NCAA Division II history by victories.
• Washburn is the winningest MIAA program since the 1989-90 season with an overall record of 505-224.

• The Ichabods are 381-68 (.848) all-time in Lee Arena.
• The 2013-14 season marks the 29th season of play in Lee Arena.
• The Ichabods recorded a school-best 28-game winning streak from Nov. 19, 1993 to Feb. 8, 1995 in Lee Arena.
