DURANT, Okla. -- The Washburn Lady Blues softball team fell to 2-6 with a pair of losses on day two of the Southeastern Oklahoma Regional Invitational. Washburn will wrap up the three-day event on Sunday.
Cameron 16, WU 1 (6 innings)
Washburn fell behind 4-0 after the first inning and they were down 6-0 as the Aggies jumped out to the early lead. Washburn scored once in the bottom of the fourth with

Deidra Jones who walked to lead off the inning. Cameron put the game out of reach adding one in the fifth and nine more in the top of the sixth as they finished with 14 hits. Washburn was limited to five hits in the game.
Southern Nazarene 13, WU 6
The Lady Blues again fell behind after the first inning as the Crimson Storm scored two in their first at bat, but Washburn came back with a run in the first to cut the lead in half. In the second inning, Southern Nazarene added four more to go up 6-1. Washburn's
Deidra Jones hit a homer to pull the Lady Blues within 6-2. In the third, the Lady Blues added another solo run when

Katie Schroeder who singled to lead off the inning. Again the Crimson Storm scored adding two more in the fourth, but Washburn scored two more in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI singles by
Leah Garland and Schroeder. However SNU added one more in the fifth and three more in the sixth and a solo run in the seventh taking a 13-5 lead. Washburn added a solo run in the seventh on a RBI ground out by
Kristen Bell.
