TOPEKA, Kan. – The Ichabods trailed by eight at halftime but came back for a 65-59 overtime win Thursday against Central Oklahoma at Schendel Court in Lee Arena.

The Ichabods won their fourth straight game and climbed into a tie for fourth in the MIAA standings at 11-5 overall and 6-3 in the MIAA. They will wrap up their five-game home stand Saturday at 5 p.m. against Northeastern State.

Taylor Ignoto led the Ichabods with 16 points. She made Washburn's first 3-pointers in over 60 minutes with a pair in the second half and then she scored eight of the Ichabods' 12 points in overtime. She was 5 of 13 from the field overall and 3 of 9 from long range.

Caysn Buchman broke a 50-50 tie with 2:19 left in regulation with a 3-pointer but the Bronchos (10-7, 5-5 MIAA) scored the final three points to send Washburn to its first overtime of the year.

It took nearly two minutes for either team to score in overtime but Ignoto broke the ice with a shot at 3:17. The Bronchos tied it right after that but Ignoto went on a 6-0 run that gave the Ichabods a 61-55 lead with 2:16 to play. Central Oklahoma got within two points with 1:11 to play but
Kara Lee hit a tip in with 21 seconds left and
Janelle Travis put the game away with two free throws with nine seconds to go.

The Bronchos shot 3 of 9 in overtime and missed all four 3-point attempts. Washburn was 3 of 7 and went 5 of 7 from the free throw line in the extra period.

The Ichabods shot 42 percent overall while UCO was 30 percent. Each team shot 15 free throws with Washburn making 11 and UCO making 10.

Honor Duvall scored 15 points off a 7 of 11 performance to lead the Washburn bench and Lee had 12 points.
Brittney Lynch added eight points and a team-high nine rebounds. Buchman had eight rebounds and was one of three Ichabods with a game-high three assists.

Washburn had a 23-22 lead with 2:55 to play in the first half but UCO scored the final nine points of the half to lead 31-23 at the break. The Bronchos held a game-high 10-point lead three minutes into the second half and then Washburn erased that with an 11-0 run to go up 36-35. Duvall scored six points during the streak and then a 3-pointer from Ignoto put Washburn ahead.

The Ichabods later jumped ahead by seven on a 9-2 run that ended with 6:17 to play. The Bronchos chipped that lead away and tied the game with 2:50 to play on a 3-pointer from Julia Mason. Buchman added a 3 after that but Mason scored the final three points in regulation to tie the game.

Mason ended with 19 points to lead all scorers. She was 7 of 21 from the field and added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Olivia Mason also had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
