HILO, Hawaii -- The Washburn Ichabod basketball team finally arrived in Hilo and dropped a 69-60 decision in game with 55 total fouls called. Washburn will face Northwest Indian College on Wednesday night in Hilo.

The Ichabods trailed by 10 at the break at 35-25 after a 12-0 run before the half put the Vulcans up over Washburn. The Ichabods led 22-19 before UHH finished the half on a 16-3 overall run.

In the second half, the Ichabods cut the lead to six at 43-37 with under 13 minutes to play but the Vulcans pushed their lead back to 10. A 6-0 run by the Ichabods with 5:01 to play cut the lead to four. Hilo pushed its lead back to six before the Ichabods cut it back to four with 4:23 to play but Washburn would not get any closer as the Vulcans hit 10 of 12 free throws the final 4:23 to seal the game.

Overall the Vulcans attempted 45 free throws connecting on 30 while the Ichabods finished 10 of 25. Washburn was 23 of 61 from the field and UHH was 17 of 45. Washburn held a 43 to 39 rebound advantage.

Alex North finished with his first double double of the season and the 13th of his career with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Algie Key had 11 points as did Christian Ulsaker. Turon Parker had nine.
