Â
Kara Lee scored nine points off a 4-of-6 performance as she played her final regular season home game.
Casyn Buchman led the Ichabods with 17 points after going 6 of 14 from the field with three 3-pointers.

Â
Duvall, Buchman and
Brittney Lynch led Washburn with seven rebounds each and Travis had seven assists.
Â
The Tigers (16-7, 9-7 MIAA) took a 57-56 lead on a layup at 5:37 in the second half but Lee answered right away with a basket that started a 9-0 run to put Washburn up for good. Ignoto and Travis hit 3s during the run and then
Casyn Buchman later hit a layup with 2:17 remaining that put the Ichabods up 67-59.
Â
The Ichabods then made seven free throws down the stretch and never let the Tigers get closer than six points down.
Â
Washburn shot 47 percent in the game after shooting 50 percent in the first half. The Ichabods were 44 percent from 3-point range and 67 percent from the free throw line. Fort Hays State shot 33 percent overall, 18 percent from long range and 82 percent from the line.
Â
Washburn lost the rebound battle 39-34 and had 19 turnovers while FHSU had 18.
Â
The Ichabods trailed 5-0 to start the game then answered with a 14-0 run to go up 14-5. A three-point play from Duvall later gave Washburn a double-digit advantage at 17-7. The Ichabods held the lead the rest of the half but let the Tigers end the half on an 8-2 run to close to within a point, 34-33 at halftime.
Â
Washburn built the lead back to double digits once in the second half on a three-point play from Lee but scored just one more point the next three minutes as FHSU erased its deficit and took a brief lead midway through the half. The Tigers led by as much as three points after that before Washburn's 9-0 run put the game away.
Â
Kate Lehman led the Tigers with 18 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. Jill Faxon came off the bench for 15 points.
The win guaranteed the Washburn will finish no worse than sixth in the MIAA and will not have to go on the road for an MIAA first game. If the Ichabods finish fourth or better they'll have a first round bye and if they're fifth or sixth they'll host a game March 3.
