WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The No. 39-ranked Washburn Ichabods was beat 8-1 by No. 18-ranked Midwestern State on Friday afternoon. The Ichabods will return to action on Saturday when they will face Texas Permian Basin and then they will return home to host Northwest Missouri on Wednesday before opening the MIAA Tournament next weekend.

Washburn's solo point on the board came from Chance Joost who topped Tomas Grejtak 6-7, 7-5, 10-6 at No. 5 singles.
