Pair of 3-run homers not enough in 10-6 loss to Bulldogs

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Washburn's David Gauntt and Kyle Carnahan each hit 3-run homers against Truman on Thursday afternoon but it was not enough as the Ichabods dropped a 10-6 non-conference decision to the Bulldogs. Washburn opens a four-game series at Lindenwood starting on Friday in St. Charles, Mo.

Gauntt put the Ichabods (18-6) on the board with a 3-run homer in the third inning scoring Riley Krane and Kyle Carnahan who singled and doubled in the inning putting Washburn up 3-2. The Ichabods went up 6-2 after Carnahan's 3-run homer in the fourth scoring Krane and Tanner Johnson who both walked.
