Washburn Soccer's Final Regular Season Games
The Washburn soccer team competes in their last home game on Friday, October 29th against No. 11 Emporia State for Senior Day. The Ichabods hold a 5-1-2 record at Yager Stadium. Then the Ichabods will finish the regular season on road against Fort Hays on October 31st.

Raegan Wells earned MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week on October 26 for her performances against No. 8 Central Missouri and Missouri Southern
» Wells performed at a high level and contributed to an Ichabods team that went 1-1 on the week.
» Wells held No. 8 Central Missouri for almost 90 minutes before allowing a goal. She had six saves for the game.
» Wells then shut out her fourth team of the season on Sunday in a 1-0 win against Missouri Southern. The Lions had four shots on goal in the first half all saved by Wells to keep it 0-0 heading into the half. The Ichabods scored early in the second half and Wells kept the Lions scoreless with another save.
» Wells on the week played 197 minutes, totaling 11 saves while facing 21 shots. She also had a Goals-Against-Average of 0.914.

» The Ichabods host their final home game of the season on Friday against Emporia State
» Washburn will recognize their seniors: Tera Lynch, Emily Munyer, Olivia Harriger, Sydney Rosemann, Mackenzie Menke and Mattie Miano

Emporia State dropped in the rankings due to a loss against Central Oklahoma but turned it around this week. The Hornets had a decisive victory over Missouri Southern and then a hard-fought victory over No. 8 Central Missouri.

Junior Midfielder Hannah Woolery

Redshirt Junior Defender Ashlyn Lakin and Junior Defender Joanie Westcoat
» Not only have these defenders led a defense that have allowed just 19 goals all season, they also have produced offensively for the Hor- nets
» Lakin has one goal and leads the team with seven assists on three shots-on-goal. Westcoat scored three goals and six assists.

Senior Keeper Jillian Patton
» Patton has a great defense in front of her and has only faced 111 shots in 16 games

About The Coach
» Entering his 10th year coaching the Hornets
» Sailer took over a team with one win the year before and steadily built it into a top 25 team.
» Emporia State broke out in 2018, when they went 14-6-1 and advanced to the NCAA Division 2 Tournament for the first time in school history
» Sailer has won everywhere he has coached with a combined record of 268-106-24 at four schools
» Previously coached four years at Barton CC where he won Conference Coach of the Year after guiding them to an 18-4 record
» Prior to Barton, Sailer spent 10 years coaching in the Colorado High School system.
» He was the head boys coach at Greeley West HS for two seasons, posting a record of 38-24-2 and a Northern Conference Championship
» Sailer began his career as the girls and boys coach at Fort Collins HS

Scouting Fort Hays
» The Tigers hold a 6-7-3 record and 3-6 conference record this season. Lions' conference slate started tough against then No. 5 Emporia State and Central Oklahoma. They earned their first conference win against Newman before suffering a three-game losing streak losing 1-0 in two of those matches. Fort Hays came out of the losing winning two of their last three games at Missouri Southern and Northeastern State.

Senior Forward Cailey Perkins

» Head Coach Blake Reynolds is in his fourth season coaching the Tigers
» Reynolds in the second coach in program history, compiling a 31-19-8 record in his first three seasons with a program best .603 winning percentage

» He has produced 20 All-MIAA selections and three All-Region honorees in three seasons
