Ichabod women's cross country team seventh at FHSU Tiger Open

VICTORIA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's cross country team finished fourth out of 17 teams at the FHSU Tiger Open Saturday. The Ichabods will be in action in two weeks at the MIAA Cross Country Championships in Kearney, Neb.
 
Sierra Mortensen led Washburn with a fourth-place overall finish in a time of 17:55.7. Patricia Koma was ninth in a time of 18:15.4 and she was followed by Lily Johnson who was 16th in a time of 18:25.7.
 
Katharina Götschl was 61st at 19:30.6 and Dulce Ayala Chanez was 75th in a time of 19:48.8.
 
Avery Hoffpauir was 78th in a time of 19:50.2 followed by Eve Weber in 81st at 19:52.2, Luz Lopez Gonzalez in 83rd at 19:53.0, Verena Vesely in 86th at 19:54.9. Kelsie Dent in 97th at 20:04.5, Megan Allacher in 99th at 20:05.1, Elsa Cozine in 107th at 20:27.5, Megan Miller in 113th at 20:35.0, Stacy Briggs in 116th at 20:39.1, Tessa Jeffery in 123rd at 20:45.5 and Keely Wagner in 140th at 21:22.6.
 
Washburn finished with 140 overall trailing the winner team from Westminter (Utah) who had 99. St. Mary's (Kan.) was second with 111 points followed by Adams State in third with 113 points. Nebraska-Kearney was fourth with 119 points, Northwest Missouri was fifth with 128 and Fort Hays State was sixth with 131. Central Missouri was eighth with 145 points.
