EMPORIA, Kan. – A partial Washburn Ichabods women's cross country squad finished fourth at the Emporia State Invitation on Friday night at Jones Park. The Ichabods will return to action next week at the FHSU Open in Victoria, Kan.
Dulce Ayala Chanez led the Ichabods with a 16
th-place finish completing the 5K course in a time of 20:01.34. She was followed by
Elsa Cozine in 24
th at 20:23.33.
Tessa Jeffery was 29
th in a time of 20:30.47.
Megan Miller was 30
th with
Megan Allacher right behind at 31
st in times of 20:30.53 and 20:31.63 respectively.
Keely Wagner finished 38
th in a time of 20:47.33 and
Olivia Southby was 68
th in a time of 22:15.42.
Fort Hays State won the event with 26 total points and Emporia State was second tallying 58 points. Dodge City CC was third with 85 points and the Ichabods were fourth 110 points.
