HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's cross country team opened 2021 with a dominating race winning the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic topping 13 teams placing three runners in the top 11 including the overall winner on the three-mile course. Washburn will be back in action on Sept. 18 at the Missouri Southern Stampede.
Washburn was led by
Patricia Koma who won her Ichabod debut finishing the course in a time of 18:54.4, 11 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Dulce Ayala Chanez was eighth with a time of 19:43.2 and
Kelsie Dent was 11
th finishing in a time of 19:46.4.
Avery Hoffpauir was 15
th with a time of 19:57.1 and
Luz Lopez Gonzalez was 16
th finishing in 20:02.5.
Stacy Briggs was 19
th in a time 20:18.3 and
Verena Vesely was 21
st at 20:22.3.
