EMPORIA, Kan. — The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's team sent squads to the Emporia State Hornet Harrier Invitational on Friday and came back with a top 15-finish on the women's side and a top-20 showing on the men's side sending four total student athletes to the event.
The Ichabod women's squad sent only two to the 5K event as
Avery Hoffpauir led the Ichabod women's entries with a 15
th-place finish in a time of 20:37.37 and
Tea Bloomfield was 35
th in a time of 24:47.57.
Shane Mullen led the Ichabod men with a 19
th-place finish in a time of 27:34.75 over the 8K course.
Jace Moore was 37
th in a time of 29:30.65.
Trevor Ottman finished 52
nd in a time of 33:21.12.
The Ichabods are scheduled to be in action on multiple fronts next weekend as both the Ichabod men and women's team will take part in the SBU Invitational on Oct. 21 in Bolivar, Mo. The Ichabod men's team will take another squad to the Alabama-Hunstville Chargers Cross Country Invite on Oct. 22.
