BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod women's cross country team wrapped up the regular season and will now turn its attention to the MIAA Cross Country Championships Nov. 5 with a third-place finish at the SBU Bearcat Open on Friday night in Bolivar.
Lily Johnson led the way with a third-place finish with a time of 19:02.28 over the 5K course.
Eve Weber was ninth overall with a ninth-place finish in a time of 19:34.19.
Marisa Jacober was 14
th overall with a time of 19:52.94 and she was followed by
Stacy Briggs who was 26
th in a tie of 20:19.51.
Kelsie Dent was 30
th overall in a time of 20:26.49 and
Lexie Fontaine was 37
th in a time of 20:51.01.
Avery Hoffpauir placed 46
th overall finishing in a time of 21:14.89 and
Tea Bloomfield was 78
th in a time of 25:30.40.
The Ichabods placed third overall with a team total of 82 points trailing Southwest Baptist with 33 and Truman with 68. The Ichabods topped fellow MIAA schools Central Missouri, who was fifth with 107 points, Missouri Western in sixth with 139 points and Lincoln in ninth with 265 points.
