Washburn soccer signs six in 2023 class

TOPEKA, Kan. – Washburn Ichabod soccer team has announced the signings of six future Ichabods who will join the program for the 2023 season from the prep ranks.

PRESSLEE AMICK 

Midfielder / 5-7 / Norman, Okla. / Norman North High School 

As a sophomore she helped lead the T-Wolves to an undefeated 16-0 season and 6a state championship … junior year helped Norman North to a 6a state runner up finish as an attacking midfielder … helped Norman North to a 16-0 season and 6a state championship as a sophomore … freshman season canceled due to COVID … daughter of Kristi and Jesse Amick … has two sisters, Blakelee and Kodi Hatchel … sister Kodi played soccer at Southwestern Oklahoma State University … anticipated major is criminal justice. 

HAILEY BECK 

Goalkeeper / 5-11 / Topeka, Kan. / Washburn Rural High School 

Helped lead the Jr. Blues to a 2rd place finish at 6a state as a junior with 12 shutouts in goal … named to All-League 2nd team and named a Northeast Sports Awards Soccer Player of the Year nominee ... as a sophomore named an All-League and All-State honorable mention … helped Washburn Rural finish in 3rd at state … also played tennis for four years, qualifying for state all three years it was held … daughter of DeAnne and Kevin Beck … one brother, Hayden who played golf at Washburn … anticipated major is kinesiology. 

LINDSEY MAUL 

Defender / 5-4 / Wichita, Kan. / Bishop Carroll High School 

As a sophomore she helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 5a third-place finish at state as an outside back … was named an All-League honorable mention … helped Bishop Carroll to city league championship as a junior and was named to first team All-City, All-State and All-Metro … finished third at state sophomore year … also played basketball for two years … daughter of Jennifer and Andrew Maul … has one brother, Noah, and one sister, Brynn who played basketball at Benedictine … undecided on major.   

MACKINLY ROHN 

Midfielder / Forward / 5-7 / Topeka, Kan. / Washburn Rural High School 

Four-year member of the Jr. Blues soccer team … sophomore year she helped the Washburn Rural to a 3rd place finish at 6a state, and a league championship … as a junior scored nine goals with 13 assists at forward and midfield … helped the Jr. Blues to 2nd place at state and a regional championship with a 17-3-1 record … was an All-State 6a honorable mention and an All-League honorable mention … also played one year of basketball … daughter of Jenny and Ryan Rohn … has one brother Jackson … plans to major in nursing.  

RILYN SNYDER 

Defender / 5-8 / Aurora, Colo. / Eaglecrest High School 

As a Raptor at Eaglecrest High School she was named first team All-Conference and second team All-State after her sophomore season … helped the Raptors to a 6-4 record as a center back as a sophomore … daughter of Summer and Shane Snyder … has one sister, Madison … mom played volleyball at Alderson Broaddus University and dad wrestled and played football at Western Colorado and rugby in South Africa … plans to major in kinesiology. 

KATE WIDLER 

Defender / 5-5 / Olathe, Kan. / Olathe South High School  

Four-year member of the Olathe South soccer team … helped the Falcons to a 10-6 record her junior year as a midfielder and wing back … freshman season was canceled due to COVID … has also played basketball for two years … daughter of Becky and Jason Widler … has one sister, Emily … her father Jason played soccer at UMKC … plans to get her degree in social work.
