MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod men's and women's track and field team sent five squad members to the Tjeerdsma Classic at Northwest Missouri and came back with two school records, seven personal bests and three NCAA provisional marks.
Isabella Hohl finished second in the prelims in a school record time of 7.43 topping her record she set at the 2022 MIAA Championships which previously stood at 7.47. She did not run in the final of the event, but made her first appearance in the 400m and broke the school record in that event in a time of 56.57 finishing fourth overall. The previous school record was 56.73. Both event times were NCAA provisional marks.
Ashley Heavner finished 12th overall in the 60m hurdles with a personal best of 9.42 topping her time from last week at the Ichabod Alumni Invitational of 9.59. Heavner also competed in the 400m and finished sixth overall in a time of 1:00.21 also topping her time from last week of 1:01.44.
Adriel Holloway made her collegiate debut with a fifth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 14.62m (47-11.75) and
Dakota Bottom finished 14th with a mark of 10.82m (35-06.00) topping her throw from last week of 10.53m (35-06.75). The meet will be Holloway's first competition of the season.
On the men's side,
Alessandro Di Gregorio finished third in the high jump clearing a personal best and NCAA provisional mark of 2.06m (6-09.00) topping his mark from last week of 2.01m (6-07.00).
