•The Washburn Ichabods will look to start another winning streak on Monday afternoon in Claremore, Okla. as they will face Rogers State at 3:30 p.m. in the Claremore Expo Center.
•The Ichabods (13-8, 10-5 MIAA) are coming off a 72-71 loss at Northeastern State last time out snapping their three-game winning streak.
•Rogers State (13-8, 7-8 MIAA) topped Emporia State on Saturday in overtime winning 82-81.

WASHBURN ICHABOD HEAD COACH BRETT BALLARD
•is 95-46 in his fifth season as the Ichabods' head coach and 128-76 overall in his eighth year as a head coach.
•has led the Ichabods to three NCAA postseason appearances in four full seasons at Washburn.
•was named the Washburn Ichabod men's basketball head coach on April 6, 2017 after spending the 2014-15 to 2016-17 seasons as an assistant coach with the Wake Forest basketball program after working under head coach Danny Manning 2014-17 seasons and at the University of Tulsa during the 2012-14 seasons.
•he helped Wake Forest to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2009-10 season following the 2016-17 season.

LAST MEETING WITH ROGERS STATE
(Dec. 18, 2021) TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabods held of Rogers State in a game of runs and with a series of lead changes down the stretch in a 70-69 win in Lee Arena on Saturday night in Topeka.
Jalen Lewis broke a 64-64 tie with 2:27 to go putting Washburn (6-5, 3-2 MIAA) up with a 3-pointer, but Rogers State's Devin Pullum connected on one of his own tying the score back at 67 with 1:58 to play. Following a Hillcat (6-4, 1-4 MIAA) timeout,
Jeremy Harrell his a 3-pointer pushing the lead back to three with 92 seconds to play.
Rogers State scored on its next possession cutting the lead to 70-69 with 1:05 to play and the Ichabods came up empty on their next series. After a Rogers State turnover with 15 seconds left, the Ichabods missed the front end of a 1-and-1. Pullum's driving layup was missed and
Michael Keegan pulled down his eighth rebound of the game as time expired to seal the win.
Washburn led 32-27 at the break and led by as many as 12 in the opening frame before the Hillcats trimmed the margin back to five entering the locker room.
Lewis led the Ichabods with 22 points scoring 15 in the second half hitting 3 of 6 3-pointers and Harrell scored a career-high 20 points on 7 of 14 shooting adding seven rebounds.
Tyler Geiman had nine points with eight rebounds and six assists.
Pullum led the Hillcats with 23 points hitting all four 3-point attempts.
Washburn finished the game shooting 51 percent hitting 28 of 55 shots going 7 of 20 from deep and 7 of 11 free throws. Rogers State was 24 of 52 overall and hit 10 of 20 3-pointers and 11 of 17 free throws.
Washburn had a 33 to 27 advantage on the glass and a 34 to 20 margin in the paint.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE ICHABODS
(Feb. 5, 2022) TAHLEQUAH, Okla. –Washburn let an six-point lead slip away with 50 seconds to play as the Ichabods fell in a 72-71 loss to Northeastern State.
Washburn (13-8, 10-5 MIAA) turned the ball over with 50 seconds to play and then fouled as the RiverHawks hit both free throws cutting the lead to 68-64. Washburn was fouled on its next possession, but missed the front end of a 1-and-1 and Northeastern State (11-11, 6-10 MIAA) came down and hit a 3-pointer with 31 seconds to play trimming the lead to one at 68-67.
On Washburn's next possession,
Levi Braun was sent to the line and hit two free throws with 27 seconds to go pushing Washburn's lead back to three at 70-67, but a foul on Washburn sent NSU's Dillon Bailey back to the line where he hit both attempts with 15 seconds left as Washburn led 70-69 with the ball.
The Ichabods were fouled again and went to the line and hit one of two attempts with 14 seconds to play and Bailey hit a driving lay up and was fouled and hit his seventh free throw in seven attempts putting the RiverHawks in front 72-71. After a Washburn timeout, the Ichabods in bounded the ball to halfcourt and then called another time setting up a final play, but the shot rimmed out as Washburn fell by one as the RiverHawks swept the season series.
In the final 50 seconds, the RiverHawks outscored the Ichabods 10 to 3 and was 2 of 2 from the field, 5 of 5 from the free throw line while the Ichabods were 3 of 5 from the line.
Washburn trailed 38-35 at the break after jumping out to a 13-2 lead to start the game as the Ichabods were outshot 52 to 39 percent in the first half. In the second half, Washburn shot 54 percent from the field holding the RiverHawks to 35 percent, but NSU was 12 of 13 from the free throw line in the second half compared to the Ichabods 9 of 13. For the game, NSU was 21 of 24 from the line compared to 13 of 20 for the Ichabods.
Tyler Geiman led the Ichabods with 26 points going 11 of 16 from the field adding nine rebounds and five assists – all team highs.
Jalen Lewis had 15 points and tied Shannon Kruger for the Ichabod career 3-point record with 242.
Jonny Clausing had 13 points off the bench.
All five NSU starters reached double figures in the win for the RiverHawks.
