TOPEKA, Kan. -- No. 8 Washburn soccer begins its final road swing of the season this week with matches against Central Oklahoma at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 and versus Newman at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
KICKOFF
- No. 8 Washburn soccer heads out on the road for its final road trip of the season starting a three match swing with Central Oklahoma and Newman this week.
- The Ichabods will face the Bronchos at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 and the Jets on Sunday Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
BOD BREAKDOWN
- Washburn is 12-1-1 so far in the 2023 season.
- The Ichabods went 11-6-2 in 2022 and finished sixth in the MIAA.
- WU is currently tied for first in the MIAA through seven conference matches with Fort Hays State.
- With 12 wins Washburn has the second most in program history in a season.
- They have also not lost in 12 straight matches, matching the longest streak in program history.
- The Ichabods are ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Association national poll, moving up from No. 23 last week. It's the highest ranking in program history, the previous high was No. 9 in 2007. They are also ranked No. 1 in the central region rankings.
- Washburn returns 19 players from last seasons roster while adding two transfers and seven freshmen.
A LOOK AT LAST WEEK
- Washburn stayed at home and recorded back-to-back shutouts defeating Missouri Southern 2-0 and No. 8 Central Missouri 1-0
- The Ichabods extended their undefeated streak to 12 matches over the weekend matching the longest in program history previously set in 2006.
- Raegan Wells started both games over the weekend playing all 180 minutes and making seven total saves. She recorded her seventh and eighth solo shutouts of the year.
- Riley Wells and Khloe Schuckman connected with each other on two goals over the weekend with Schuckman dishing to Wells in Friday's match and Wells setting up Schuckman in the first half of the match on Sunday. Ana Muruzabal scored the other goal on a PK against MSU.
- Taylor Bockover played all 90 minutes of both matches on defense helping pick up a ninth shutout of the season.
- After the week the Ichabods are now a perfect 8-0 in Yager Stadium.

- Washburn is 34th in the nation out of 249 teams averaging 1.64 assists per match, that number is second among MIAA teams.
- The Ichabods are 9th in the nation in win-loss-tied percentage and are first in the MIAA.

- Ana Muruzabal leads Washburn in goals with six and and in points with 15, doing so off the bench in 487 minutes of total action. Thirteen of her 18 total shots have been on goal.
- Mackinly Rohn leads the Ichabods with seven assists on the year. She's also scored three goals to sit second on the team with 13 points. She has started all but two matches and logged 825 minutes as a freshman.
- Khloe Schuckman has 11 points on the year with four goals and two assists in 958 minutes. She leads the team with 26 shots taken.
- Aubrey Tanksley has scored four goals on the year on only 13 total shots. All four goals have been game winners, the most on the team. She has started two matches and played a total of 608 minutes.
- Viviana Soto-Herrera has three goals and one assist on the year and is second on the Ichabods with 22 shots taken this year. She has stared all 14 matches and leads all midfielders with 851 minutes.
- Lakin Rold leads all Ichabod non-goalies in minutes with 1,072 this season. She has started all 14 matches giving her 33 consecutive starts to begin her Washburn career. She also has one assist on the year.
- Raegan Wells has made 28 saves this season in 1,215 minutes. She has seven solo shutouts and combined with Hailey Beck and Alli Harrington to complete an eighth.
- Riley Wells has two goals and two assists on the year. She has taken 12 total shots and has started all 14 matches.

Match #15 - vs Central Oklahoma
- Mike Cook is in his 24th season leading Central Oklahoma.
