TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn sophomore soccer midfielder Belle Kennedy and graduate student volleyball outside hitter Rachel Schwensen have been named the HyVee Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of action ending Oct. 1.

Rachel Schwensen tallied 25 kills over the weekend while hitting .393 leading the Ichabods in both categories. In Washburn's 3-1 win at Pittsburg State she knocked down 13 kills while hitting .458 and reached the 1,000 career kills mark in her collegiate career. She also made four blocks over the weekend. 

Belle Kennedy scored three total points over the weekend for the Ichabods. Mackinly Rohn assisted her on the game winning goal in the 55^th minute against Missouri Western on Friday night. In Sunday's match against Northwest Missouri she assisted Rohn on the only goal of the match for Washburn in the 1-1 tie.
