TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's soccer team will make its second trip of the season to Kearney, Neb. this weekend to continue MIAA play against the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers. The Ichabods visited Kearney earlier this season to play two neutral site matches, and now return to play the host Lopers for the Ichabods' first MIAA road game of the 2024 season. Washburn and Nebraska-Kearney will face off on Friday, Oct. 4 with kickoff set for 7 p.m. from Ron & Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field.

- Senior Ana Muruzabal is now the team leader in goals and points after scoring two goals against Newman. She now has three goals and one assist on the season, good for seven total points.
- Junior forward Aubrey Tanksley scored her first goal of the season to open the scoring against Newman. Tanksley scored five goals as a sophomore in 2023. She led the Ichabods in offensive output across the first two conference games, taking six shots.
- Senior Viviana Soto-Herrera recorded her first assist of the season to close out the win over Newman. She tallied three assists in 2023 and now has eight assists for her career.
- Sophomore Mackinly Rohn assisted on Muruzabal's first goal to put Washburn up 2-0 against Newman in the 82nd minute. Rohn recorded a team-high seven assists as a freshman in 2023.
- With two starts over the weekend, senior Khloe Schuckman entered the top 10 all-time in games started for Washburn. Schuckman has now started 70 games as an Ichabod, good for ninth place all-time.
- Sophomore Hailey Beck was selected as the MIAA Co-Goalkeeper of the Week after totaling six saves in the two weekend shutouts.
