ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabod women's cross country team placed seventh at the MIAA Championships on Saturday at the Missouri Western Cross Country Course as
Eve Weber picked up honorable mention all-MIAA honors finishing 15th overall. The Ichabods will be back in action in two weeks at the NCAA Regional Championships in Joplin, Mo. on Nov. 9.
Weber's time of 22:11.96 is a personal-best on a 6K course and the fifth-fastest individual performance on 6K course.
Lexie Fontaine finished 23rd overall with a time of 22:21.44 followed by
Jolie Evans in 47th in a time of 23:26.20.
Sofia Wendell wsa 62nd overall with a time of 24:08.65 and
Misti Schlabach's 64th-place finish in a time of 24:19.60.
Suzanne Farnham finished 66th in a time of 24:20.42 and Libby Ammons was 70th in a time of 24:31.76.
Kenzie Ross was 77th in a time of 25:04.15.
Pittsburg State won the team title with 55 team points followed by Rogers State (70), Fort Hays State (75), Northwest Missouri (83), Nebraska-Kearney (97), Missouri Southern (160) and Washburn (188).
